• I was involved in an incident on tuesday at about 18.20 on the Kennington Road heading south. The road has a separate bus lane where I was cycling. An ambulance with sirens and lights was coming by and I checked over my shoulder to see where it was. I looked back ahead and a large (650 Suzuki) motorbike was turning from the central (regular traffic lane) across the bus lane in front of me. Before I knew it i was on top of him and then on the ground. We landed right in the junction for of Chester Way.

I'm OK apart from bruised knees, hip, foot and thumbs (slipping over the hoods I guess) and the bike has at the very least two buckled wheels.

The ambulance behind us stopped immediately and checked me over leaving a contact number and i got the number of another cyclist who had been just behind me. The Police attended shortly after and took a report. Motorcyclist didn't make much comment apart from talking about damage to his bike and how "these things happen". His first comment after he got up was something along the lines of "Right, come over here and let's talk about this!"

I would appreciate any advice at this point. I think I will contact the rider (whose details I have) and ask for my bike to be replaced. (https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/296520/) I am pretty certain it is his fault. Does any one know if ambulances have forward facing cameras?
