Not sure if I'm going to do so I like the idea just turning up at Ipswich. But is there a price surge? As opposed to advance booking

Savoury food ideas? I normally take cheese and chutney sandwiches to break the monotony of sweet things but considering sausage rolls or mini quiche things (yes, poncey but hey)...

Mini pork pies with pickle hit the spot......any of the 'party food' style savoury snacks are welcome, as they are smaller and easier to wrap individually in cling film or tin foil and just grab one at a time when needed....make em look the same, then play snack lottery, for the lolz!

A flask of baked beans with sausages in. Yummy.

Samosas... so good.

Take enough to share/swap!

A couple of boiled eggs, nice and filling and high density so don't take up much room. Bio degradable packing.

I'm a fan of ordering pizza before a dynamo and taking a few slices with me. Works great for the savoury option, and fits nicely in the front of a frame bag. :)

Some strong ideas here. Samosas and pizza current front runners!

samosas are a great shout. going to have a tub of pasta in the pannier too. and flapjacks. lots of flapjacks. all home made.

Samosas are great for on the go. Unlike pizza not the best at room temperature and needs tamarind sauce too. Addicted to that tamarind.....hmmm

Also:
I am doing another BBQ, beers and beats at the beach.
From around 4 I will be lighting some fires and getting beers on ice.
This stuff is free to the peeps I am coming down with and around £1 a can/roll to anyone else.
Maybe further up the beach this time away from the dorks.

Oh FFS I've got something on this night... another DD missed. It'll just have to be a London > Bath again then :)

Yup... I think I put my jacket on before we'd even reached Epping and didn't take it off again for about 70 miles of heavy rain. My brooks was forced to gain about an inch and a half in length just to stop me sitting on the seatpost clamp. :)

I think I must have ridden the route about 8-10 times now and apart from that time, the only other time I got wet was a few weeks ago... And that lasted for about 5 miles.

Brother in law is trying to rope me into this. Likely I'll just ride to Dunwich from Peterborough instead as it's similar distance but not set on that (is it worth the train down to London for the legit route??). Well up for beer beats and battered legs on the beach either way.
One treat on the way up will be the new sections of cycle track being laid down on Lea Bridge Road, had a quick go today and they seem pretty good.
