What's the fattest tyre I could put on a pair of shimano wh501? (as these are the cheapest wheelset i can find for the job i need)
I'd like to go >32 and possibly up to 40c (marathon supreme). It's for the mum bike. Or I'd consider a cheap 650b that would let me put big tyres on.
I rode with 35c Kojaks on R501 - all ok.
I have 28s on mine; but if you are going to run 32 or more then I suggest you go for 17mm or 19mm rims.
