Opted not to donate fee £39 if i don't get in, i don't want a jacket of something i entered but couldn't do.

Whats the chances of the infamous forum cycling cap being available to buy in June then :) dress for the occasion if i get in........

Got a place this year after missing out last two

Managed to get a ride via charity Tommy's; no entry fee, plus only need to raise £300 minimum, plus it's a good cause. Winning all round.

Rode for them previously, they're a really good bunch of guys/girls too!

been doing it for four years now.... i think its four since it started, but can never manage to get it without a charity place. my mate got in first go! aint it bloody fair - lol! kidding aside.....Doing it to help Great Ormond Street Hospital this year. Providing I'm not the only one, has anyone heard about places on the '46'?

i did get a charity spot with a £200 fund raise target in-case the ballot falls through though.

Just got rejection email. Missed out on both the 46 and 100 this year.

Got into the 46 along with my girlfriend. Not sure if she's too happy about it yet as the furthest she's ridden before is about 20 miles. Looking at the route it doesn't look too tough though (I don't think, I'm not that familiar with south London)

There is a theory that if you are comfortable doing a certain distance then you should be well capable of doubling it. If she's done 20 before get some good training in at that distance, then the 46 will be a proper test but one you are well capable of doing.

Yes, I'm more confident than she is that she'll be OK. Only real concern is bike fit and comfort but hopefully a few reasonable length rides will sort out any problems there.

Sawyers hill in Richmond park is probably the longest climb, from memory there were maybe two more hills on the 46 and they were shorter efforts.
Due to the massive amount of people riding it, some group riding skills can quickly reduce your required effort. The whole thing is tremendous fun, if she can do 3 hrs in the saddle she'll love it.

Ridelondon not too far away now.

My wife is in wave at 6:15 and I am in 6:56 in different colour zones.

Any clever way of getting the times closer together or will my wife have to wait?

There is talk that he first 2 miles might be neutralised, with the timing officially starting 2 miles in. It definitely was the case before, but there is no reference to it the RideLondon page. Anyway know any more about this?
I appreciate they may have got rid of these due to road clogging, but it would be good to know.
