Seiko and quartz, bite me. A tickle under a ton on eBay, been wanting a squared 70s watch for a while and like the simple hands. Plus the logo looks like a cock and balls.
Might even look at the twin quartz Grand version if I get a taste for the dark side.

Before I made the decision to get the alarm I was holding out for a really nice King or Twin to appear on the bay, I just got too impatient, still happy though.

Love a constellation but there are some things there that are setting my OCD off:

1. Second hand covering half of the minute markers - got to be all or nothing
   
2. Lume on minute hand crossing the hour battens
   
3. Hour & minute hand points not matching the angle of the hour batten inverted points
   
   

These all seem super lazy to me.

Stunning. So many understated satisfying details on that. Numbers and lugs are particularly pleasing.

I gave in and bought a PRS-42 in the end.

Its just such a well thought out tribute to the big five. The movement mods make me lie awake at night too. Centre seconds is hardly groundbreaking for a Unitas but the zero hour hacking (when hacked, the second hand continues and stops precisely on the 12) makes me tingle in my special place.

Only 50 made too which I suppose is a bonus of sorts.
