Many consider the Tudor the 'poor mans' Rolex , but some highly regard it

I think referencing Tudor sort of makes my point. They're a cheaper version made by the same company. Not wanting to be too cynical but I'm going to guess their sportier image comes from marketers trying to attract younger people who won't pay Rolex prices and/or see the brand as too old fashioned.
I'm not old enough to remember when Tudor first came out, but from what I have seen old ones have only recently started commanding high prices - to the point that second hand both Subs cost the same.
