  • Awesome effort @hippy

  • You'll have company if you decide to do it again next year! And I won't be any competition for you!

  • Taw looks awesome. I'd recommend it. Brutal too.

  • Good effort that man!

  • Stiff upper gooch.

  • Amazing @hippy and your twitter was gold. Highlight of my day was gooch nappy updates.

    Also ftfy:

  • Hahaha... Took me a few seconds to spot that! :)

  • Superb effort man.

  • ouch ;)

@hippy proper hard man, & thnx for the lols on twitter. but where's all the fat gone, you anorexic now?

  • chapeau @hippy

    love your work dude.

    @gabes - heehee, nice one

  • Good work hippy.

Doug Haluza is on his way Westbound again. Seems he nipped home from Springfield, MO 9 days ago but arrived back 3 days ago and he's just crossing into CO now and approaching half way...

  • Doug Haluza, the only remaining east to west rider, is approaching the Rockies. He is still to pass seven west to east riders who have not yet cleared the Rockies.

As well as Rebecca Harrison, another rider worth following with an excellent Twitter feed, is Martin Cox who is a little ahead of RH.

  • Rebecca Harrison is riding as a pair with Jonathan Brown also from Manchester.

  • Kudos, Hippy!

  • heroic

  • Let's all send Hippy a saddle for him to try out? Surely one of us will have one that doesn't have staples sticking out of the top. #luvyurgouch

  • Surely sometime his gooch will have developed acceptable amounts of toughness...

    massive respect hippy!

  • That's what I need, more brutality in my life :)

  • Don't worry, I'll be back up to full fat racing weight before TCR.

  • I've tried most. This race was much better than last year's TCR for saddle damage.

  • The race is still going on despite having been relegated from the home screen.

Doug Haluza, the only remaining east to west rider has diverted off course before the Rockies and is currently in Colorado Springs. I am not sure if this is an abandonment or for a mechanical or other reason.

Martin Cox has been riding ferociously and should finish late tomorrow if he can keep this pace up. Just over 400 miles to go.

Rebecca Harrison is just shy of the last check point and probably four of five days away from completion. After her, riders are very spread out all over America. Six of them not even half way yet. And they soldier on....

  • Incredible effort @hippy
    Well done!

I think he's finishing it off in stints in between work (back in Chicago).

His last stop was ~7 days near Springfield, MO and he managed 660 miles in the 4 days since then.

  • just saw that's only 4 weeks from now... geez, you must be really crayzee intent on total gooch destruction.

good luck anyway, double all the portions!
