GPS tech (Garmin, Hammerhead, Wahoo, RWGPS, etc)

The GUI does seem to have a split option.

Filters > Merge > 'Split by distance'

You can add fake timestamps using gpsbabel but I've no idea whether that's a good idea.

I tried that. It didn't seem to work - still complained.

If GPSBabel doesn't sort it fairly quickly I generally lose the will to live and resort to Notepad++ when playing with gpx files.

If someone needs to split, I have RideWithGps paid subscription

I do too, but you have to do it manually. I just want to jam in a track and have it spit out 100-200k chunks of it with new names.

Somewhere between the Hammerhead Karoo and the Wahoo Elemnt is a perfect GPS unit.

I've ordered the Wahoo, and am thinking of pre-ordering the Karoo too as there's only 2 letters difference between them.

Mine came to GBP 243 only an hour ago... how much did you pay?

It might even be that they've now dropped the final price? They were quoting $499 dollars originally....I had a $200 off code which dropped it to £230, then a bit of shipping(or tax?) on top

Oh no... I was wrong. My PayPal screen suggested that it was GBP 243, but I think that was pre-tax and they've added a bit.

Worked out to be GBP 303 according to the email confirmation. I should pay more attention :)

I actually posted this referral code 25 days ago...but it was in a conversation on the Wahoo thread stupidly...supposedly gets $50 off...though I don't know whether that's off the pre-order price or the final retail price...but feel free to try it anyone who hasn't ordered one yet.
