No worries. I think I'm going to order them anyway, simply as they're a nice accessory to have sitting here in stock, but it's very annoying that the fit isn't as they made it sound.
I'm going to try and gather together various 'accessories' over the coming months seeing as I can't make anything myself currently.

I'm still in. I run metal cages mostly but I'm also going to use it of the bike anyway.

The more standard cap... Obviously the centre 'handle' part unscrews separately, leaving a smaller 'spout' to drink from than when you remove the whole top part...

I'm still in, planned using off the bike mostly and have metal cages I can tweak. Standard cap is looking good, like the loop to clip it to stuff.

As a matter of fact, I still have a brand new bottle (I bought more than 1) from last time... :-)

I forgot to show it in the pictures, but the sports cap version also has a loop on the back edge of the cap for attaching via a carabiner etc

just a thought - can you get stickers cut? I'd gladly plaster my Nalgene with some BRP stickers

I could do Yeah. Cut vinyl is usually cheaper, but obviously has more edges to catch than printed.
But yeah, I'll look into stickers.
Haven't done any since I did the Archies Grobags ones. :)

Ok, I just tested the sports cap... and burnt my fucking tongue!

The cap itself can take the boiling water fine, but there's no way of knowing if it's still red hot until it's too late. :)
I would say regular cap for hot drinks, sports cap for cold drinks.
If I ever get a reply to my emails I'll find out if I can mix and match the caps and make separate orders for caps on their own incase anyone would like one of each.

Just to let you all know... I've emailed the company AGAIN to try and get a reply to my questions so I can get this moving forward, but still no answer yet. I don't know if they have a factory holiday or something, but anyway, I'm trying.
Makes a change for a hold up to be someone else's fault instead of mine. :)

I finally got a reply from the company.
Turns out I was right. The guy was on vacation, and thanks to an old post of theirs suddenly going viral his email address got jammed with hundreds of emails.
But anyway... He apologised about the missing tea infuser and is sending one straight out today, so once I receive it I'll have a quick go and give you all more information, then I'll go ahead and place my order.
I'm going to order them with the standard screw cap and tea infuser, but I'm trying to find out the price of the sports caps on their own so that if anybody wants to use their flask with cold drinks, they have another option.
