Yup. I think the tag was 'Born To Dare'

I think that's their tag full-stop. Saw a billboard (not for that) with the same yesterday.

Fair enough; can't say i've seen another OOH from them recently.
The line is still shit though :)

I'm not ashamed to admit I love the steel and gold black bay.

• #22507
Its not my fault you guys aren't ballers like me with my partially gold watches.

Now, where can I buy a good sheepskin coat and gold sov ring?

Do you find Nato straps comfortable? Although my 30ATM Stendardo is way bulkier than that Seiko, the black Nato drove me mad. I've put the leather back on it til I source a good actual waterproof diving strap. Also, I think striped patterns can look a bit naff. I'm all for a good metal Milanese/shark or bracelet or whatever.

Do not want

Will look ballerama on a black nato.

Absolutely. My SKX007 has been on a NATO since I got it in 2011 and I really like the way it wears.
Also, the extra security is peace of mind when swimming, biking etc.
And it looks bad-ass

I really don't mind a dual metal watch but here's what i don't like about that one (in no particular order):
- The weird end lug things on the bracelet that make it look like those cheap rolled steel oyster bracelets on Seiko 5s where they've just tried to hide the folds in the metal
- The clunky transition between the bracelet and the watch, where the bracelet seems to cut into the watch rather than the other way around (see Rolex Oyster for what i mean)
- The colour of the date window backing; should be cream to match lume / hands, or black to match face
- The colour of the pip at 12 o'clock on the bezel for the same reason
- The font in the date window not matching the font on the bezel (only 2 is showing as not matching but lets assume that 1, 3, 4, 5 & 0 don't either)
- The hour hand square - i know this is Tudor's signature but i still don't like it. It's unobtrusive enough on the second have but is unforgivably clunky on the hour hand
- Finally, the polished bevel on the case when absolutely everything else is brushed
I could add that the minute hand appears to be going over the minute markers on the dial but that could be just the picture angle so i'll give them the benefit of the doubt as that's billy fucking basic.
I also reserve the right to all more things to the list, having not seen the caseback or the clasp.
2/10 for me, given how much they cost!

I also can't get myself to like the Tudor hour hand. Do love the rivet bracelet, though. Very old school.

Maybe look at the custom seikos. I got this from yobokies for about £100 which is explorer-ish (although that wasn't my thought when I got it). A look through his various custom stuff could get something nearer looking I expect
Just looking at the site, there's a Black Bay "homage" for instance, I imagine there's plenty more on there

I know what you mean about the bracelet fit with the case. It does look odd.
The thing is, a submariner looks the same when off the wrist but the line is perfect when being worn. Might be the same for the Tudor.

As we're sharing today :)
Still waiting on the larger Nato and have ordered the rubber zulu too B-)

Really, I dunno. For a watch made to be used underwater I can't get on with a soggy Nato.

Beast!

The beauty of NATOs is they are very easily swapped out,
go for a swim/ surf/ dive
Get out, switch strap to a dry one

It's the bi-metal strap that does it!
There are tonnes of tasteful e.g.s of gold and silver working together, but it's that solid block. Gold needs to dominate, or be an accent. The centre links of a bi-metal bracelet create a 50:50 look, which never really works.
Put that on a nice black rubber or fabric strap and it would look great*.
*other than points 5 & 6 from Soul's list.
Really? Oh dear.
