idk. Most people are pretty woefully uninformed and lack any logic when voting. I'd say when you couple that with the myriad of personal reasons people have it's hard to call any correlation.
imo voting for a party that doesn't represent your interests and/or a large number of your core beliefs sounds perfectly normal.
Just to add to that;
Many voters (not just in the UK but worldwide) are blissfully uninformed by what candidates and parties stand for.
I listened to a piece where a group of people were surveyed about various policies and a large number of people tended to ascribe policies that they hear to the party that matches in their mind. So people liked TM's energy cap, but assumed it was a Labour policy, which then made people more inclined to vote Labour... as a result of a Tory policy proposal.
