All three top races have been bitten by the same dog apparently. Evan and Janie for sure.
Sadly I don't think it works the same in the USA, and the dog won't be out down or owner punished.
Disgraceful.

Jeez that's keen. He really wants the record.. 50 miles ahead of MH and 200 miles from the end it looks like, though his tracker is 2 hrs old so could have more of a gap in reality than it appears.

Yes, he's through the hills now, just has to bring it home. He stepped it up since the halfway point. I suppose experience of the course really plays into things.

Im out due to physical exhaustion. Despite continued rest and food I
could only walk up the hills in the Shawnee forest with no end in
sight. I blasted the first 12 days way to fast on very little sleep. I
loved it and learned a lot. Please stay safe my friends and will greet
as many as I can at the finish.

Oh that's a shame. Still; sounds like lessons learnt. Hopefully he comes back smarter and stronger next year.
