I assumed the reason Atacs were better than SPD for fixie lords was the the sprung bar is at the front of atac, rear of SPD, so less likely to pull your cleat out when wrenching your massive leg-guns into sick skidz.
Road cleats are great for riding but shite for drinking. falling over in the pub is always hilarious though.
