A friend of mine has a Caterham powered by an RST-V8 made with 2 bike engine heads and barrels on a custom crankcase and crankshaft. Roughly 380bhp and 560kg. With a sequential box. He's crashed it quite a few times. He stuffed it into the side of a Norwegian mountain and took 3 of the 4 corners off, and aquaplaned on a Belgian motorway and took off both right hand wheels. Moisture was a major factor in both if I remember correctly. This is it:

To be fair, he has also taken it on tours where we've done over 3,000 miles in a week and it's behaved itself perfectly. Both times he crashed he had his son in the car passengering. He's now known as 'Judas'. In fact, I can't actually remember what his real name is.
