I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being more. Floyd reportedly made over $250m for the Pacman fight after all the ppv revenue came in.

You can see why McGregor wanted the fight as I think his biggest payday so far has been $15 million on the Diaz rematch. It's a ridiculous fight but people will watch it, it'll be a spectacle that's for sure. McGregor is going to go all out with the mind games in the build up to the fight. He really doesn't have a chance but I'd love to see him KO Mayweather.

Interesting match up given the difference in the two sets of rules and that has to make Floyd the nailed on favourite but CM is very adaptable.

I give conor zero chance of legitimately winning. Perhaps he could "win" by disqualification if he decides to throw some kicks or something, it would be quite the spectacle if he did decide to do that. But I would imagine some pretty intense penalties written into the contract if he were to do something like that so I doubt it happens.

Ok - thanks. I'm a reader rather than a watcher so have always just assumed that the MMA lot come out in worse shape.

MMA doesn't really test your chin as much as boxing, plus the difference in length of bouts. McGregor is going to get utterly merked.

If they were using UFC gloves, that might weaken Floyd's hands somewhat but he'd still win.

Betting odds are 1.17 at the moment, so £100 gets back £117 on Floyd to win. Pretty pants, but if the odds improve to say 1.4 closer to fight date (which they may do, with all the crazy casual fans betting on the underdog) I may end up just chucking a big chunk of my savings on it. And if he loses, well, I guess no more fancy bike parts for a while.
