I've got an absolute black on the stache....I know there was a boost option with an offset? Worth investigating maybe?
I can vouch for the quality though.....lots of miles done, on its third(?) chain, no signs of wear and no chain drops at all.....would buy again! -

It should be fine, the chain will be flexible enough.

Love that Stinner

And I can vouch for the absolute black, they are good I've got them on my road and cross bikes, they have a little wear in period where they have a very slight noise, but 1 long ride should remedy that.

Agree, just think that the saddle to bar drop is way to big for the kind of riding I'd do with it

2018 Diverge

how does diverge fit in specialized range I wonder .. esp with sequoia .. they might've positioned diverge into 'performance' category now with full carbon etc. Kinda like Genesis with Datum and CDF.

It's like a mid point between Roubaix (or CruX) and Sequoia. Not as racy as the first two, and not as sluggish or adventurous as Sequoia. If I had to choose a perfect gravel/fun/light bikepacking/allroad bike, Diverge would seem like a perfect option.

There are very thin lines between Roubaix > Diverge > Sequoia > AWOL .. clearly they have a market thanks to Prolly/Nohlin.

Given you want to feature on Prolly, are they going to make one with ridiculous Paul brakes and S&S couplers?
-
• #988
Jesus, no!

• #989
Would you be uspet that your niche of one would be sullied by other freds?

I am already moving to e-bikes due to that fear. 1st one slated to be on Prolly early 2018.

Carbo/Alu Vs steel isn't that thin really

I'd be interested in the 700c wheels

I wonder if they finally fixed the proprietary rear hub situation or not...
-
• #996
Issue? They supply the bike with a SCS and non-SCS derailleur hanger so you can fit most rear hubs.
-
• #997
What do you mean, 'most rear hubs'? All previous years Diverge models had proprietary rear hub which you can't get anywhere anymore - the reason being that Specialized missed the 142mm rear road hub trend a couple of years ago, and went with 135mm road. They're supposed to be changing that back now, but we'll have to see
-
• #999
most 142mm rear hubs have conversion end caps available for 135x12mm thru axle (like hope and DT swiss). Specialized isn't the only one using 135mm, but they are the only one with a 2,5mm offset cassette body, hence the conversion derailleur hanger :)

These 900 hubs work on all Diverge models with the supplied extra hanger:

I think the Sram one, I have is offset. Garbaruk is offset too, they call it something clever and varies the oofset through the tooth counts.
