This evening I rode home via South Norwood Hill and Gipsy Hill (not my normal route). At the top of South Norwood Hill, I navigated the turn onto Church Road and realised there was a big car behind me, edging cautiously behind me and I thought "Oh, I'm in his way, he's going to be a problem." Once on Church Road, he drew up beside me and kept pace. I looked to my right and there's this biiiiig guy in the driving seat, huge muscles, leaning over and staring at me. Shiiit.
"Is that a proper Gazelle?"
"... Aye."
"From the 70s?"
"1981"
"Brilliant! I used to ride those!"And he drives off, right hand stuck out the window doing a thumbs up.
Which was nice.

So cool! Looks like a great event.
Any idea what the F&F prices are? -

€1892 for the 953, €1250 for the 853 is the latest rumour, batch of 125 pieces, maybe a second batch will be made. I just spoke to the designer, expressed my interest in the red one I pictured above. But the completes on display here are prototypes and will be destroyed ( :-( )

^ That's a prototype, the final build has wrapover seatstays and a nicer (Cervélo) fork.

Glad to hear that :) Those were the two niggly details annoying me.
Do you know who is building the frames for them?

Was not disclosed.

Oh right... I think that I prefer the prototype :-S

A replaceable mech hanger would have been nice... Can't say I'm a massive fan of the paint scheme, the classic panel on the seat tube could have been cool, non integrated hs so external hs cups, all lugged with no pantos and rear brake cable in top tube would be more to my taste... Ah well... Guess I'll just keep hunting a centenary edition or straight forked TVM then ...

@peter_v , you listened well compliments! :). @MattG87, the seat stays with Gazelle were swapped by the wrapover seat stays to "honor" to the typical 70's and 80's seat stays. In the 90's Gazelle moved to several other seat stay ends.
Here some other pictures of the frameset, if someone has questions about the CM125: shoot! I am running the project :D

Totally missed out on this! How was it?!
I would have brought my Champi Mondial baanfiets :)Not a huge fan of the new Champion Mondial though. Still very curious about who built the frames though! I might have an idea :)

You?
Any option for custom builds? any geo spec sheets?
Why did you/they not opt for a replaceable rear mech hanger and integrated lower headset cup?
Is there a white and stainless paint option?Cheers,

Made by our Zuiderburen?
perhaps this is a better candidate for shallow carbon and polished TR omegas...
