Issues with May, the Conservatives and how they have handled things- fine. I think it shows complete disregard for the people of the UK.

Whatever the EU's regard for the people of the UK, it's regard for the people of its member states must surely take priority.
It's a little unreasonable to suggest that the EU now take responsibility for the fuckups by the UK government, and offer them a do-over.
I believe article 50 has a "no backsies" clause.

That's not his problem though is it? May triggered Article 50, which has a very clear two year timeframe, then chose to call a completely unnecessary election. The clock is still running and May has just wasted two months.
