Well if the DUP loses seat, it makes it harder for the Tories to do a deal. I really hope they lost Belfast East to Alliance, Belfast South may be SDLP (again) who have a sorta agreement with Labour. Labour never stood here cos of that agreement.
SF, yeah, nuff said. I bet they still draw their salaries though...

Who are the DUP? I can't even get to their manifesto pages as it looks like their websites being swamped.

Sinn Fein = Catholic pro-single Ireland
DUP = Protestant pro-UKDUP are effectively like the Falklanders and Gibraltar parties in being very pro-UK and pro military, etc.
They side with the Tories all the time, their party whip is basically always going to act in the same way as the Tory whip, but they are seldom to never needed.

Largest unionist party in Northern Ireland. Hard right. Pro-Brexit.
So pretty much, yes.
-
• #2695
Though they say they've mucked up the SNP exit poll, so presumably labour is an overestimate.
-
• #2696
The EU have said that if there is en unexpected election result, they would happily delay proceedings for as long as we wished.
-
• #2697
So that'll be a 15% rise in Labour majority for the first result in Newcastle.

Got a text from my mum saying she knew something was afoot when she heard my 18 year old cousin had stirred from the sofa to vote.

sunderland - labour
it looks like the ukip votes are indeed going tory more than was expected by the exit poll, so looks likely that tory will have a majority
hahaha put it on a T-shirt and photo bomb her resignation speech tomorrow :)
