What's the inner width of the rim?
I'm running Conti RaceKing 29x2.0" on Mavic TN719 in a Surly Straggler (700), which is spec'd for "up to 41mm". Still got 3-4mm each side, but have stuck Halfords foil "metal repair tape" on both chainstays to prevent gloop and grit damage, though I've not yet been through any UK-CX-style bogs.

Is there any 650b tyre with knobbly tread, narrower than 1.9"?
