waiting for me on the doormat
Literally or metaphorically?
-
• #22341
wow
-
• #22342
Pretty much literally. The package was signed for by next door, who were feeding our cats, so it was part of a post pile which sat about 5cm from the mat inside the door.

After looking at this thread for a while I convinced myself I needed a new watch, I then remembered and found a watch I bought 25 years ago and took it to alsalls new crown, strap and battery. Today I am very happy, it may not be to today's taste but I am happy to wear it again and happy that this thread/forum made it live again.

Re. Polywatch. I tried Polywatch on some scratches on a watch I had damaged and it didn't seem to work too well. Are there any other options?

How many coats did you give it?
-
• #22346
I tried three times using more and more of it each time. I used cotto wool to rub it.
-
• #22347
Not tried myself, but I hear that the next step up from polywatch is a cape cod cloth.
If still no joy, then 1200 grit, lots of cape cod, lots of polywatch and lots of time and elbow grease.

N83 is made with a mineral glass crystal

Does Polywatch work with mineral glass?

Nop. Try toothpaste!
Milgauss would be my first lottery win watch, have wanted one for years, think I would go with the black face, green edging over the white\orange though.
