A few years ago, I bought a Gios from well Gios, and it was a very similar experience. Long established family business, father a legendary frame builder, son an engineer keeping the dream alive.
The Grandis factory / workshop is a much bigger operation than I was expecting, but to be honest their glory days are well behind them, and it's not going to be around for ever, so if you're thinking about it I'd get a move on.
As an added bonus, it's a lovely part of the world.
That's lovely, and not at all excessive compared to the cost of a similar UK builder - how easy were they to deal with?
