Last night almost ran over either Robert Peston or an uncanny lookalike, at Westminster crossing as the lights changed. Was like a deer in headlights and he didn't know whether to retreat (in the path of taxis) or keep crossing (cyclists). Looked so helpless I took pity.

Presumably Nick Robinson wouldn't have been so lucky...

Maybe Nick would have the sense not to cross on red and be playing Pokémon Go at the same time. Looking at 2017 pics am more confident it was him - longer hair now.

You're probably right. He strikes me as more of a Candy Crush Saga kinda guy.

It's hot. I rode my bike to work.

Lo' and behold the sun emerging, and emergeth alongside a cacophony of nodders who shalt not shoulder check, who shalt stop beneath the mirrors of left turning HGV, who shalt randomly changeth direction for no reason with no signal.
It was proper carnage out this morning.

We need a good hailstorm tonight to put them off.
Like when wasps come out in an early spring and get frozen to death a few days later as the weather turns.

Yarp. I spent most of the commute just hanging back and letting everyone else get on with it to save developing any rage. One guy got a fairly restrained "bellend" as he undertook me in the smallest of gaps for the second time. Couldn't hear me of course what with safety earphones in.

So much this. What possesses people? I just don't get it.
Edit: Oops, meant to be a reply to @Col-De-Camberwell

Almost clobbered BBC Travel correspondent Simon Calder at HPC as he ran a red pedestrian light (on a boris bike). CSB etc..

Clearly these broadcast journalists have become a danger on our roads and should be banned.

Would I be correct in my assumption that the really thick white line on New Oxford Street here means no overtaking?

Arrived at office in a lather. Made worse by no shower and a pressing meeting half an hour away on the tube. Suit, shirt and unmentionables resembling wet washing just dragged out of the machine. And feeling similar....and only 8.30am. And I've to last in the same gear until a meeting at 6pm. Where's me Lynx Africa.....

Saw a guy cycling in balaclava, full length tights and winter jacket today. All my WTFs.

Been riding along the thames path between Putney and Hammersmith bridge for the last few days. So nice and actually pretty quick due to the lack of lights.
Want it to be like this every. damn. day.

Move to SE London, ride on Q1.

Had some tools on there this morning, somebody tried to overtake a large group through one of those bollardy bits between Oxley and Chaucer with 3 riders coming the other way. Cue all the swears from those coming the other way and me as he tried to push me onto the pavement to avoid getting creamed.

Choppers will be everywhere/choppers.

why does the sun bring out all the wankers on fancy crabon bikes with bottom brackets creaking louder than I ever thought possible

nice-bike'd a nice tokyo fixed at E&C this morn, too hungover to muster any further semblance of conversation.
Ah thanks for the tip. I braked a little and it soon stopped.
I think it's just the mass pulling the bike from the front centre, pretty sure it wouldn't happen if the lock was in my belt on my hip.
