That sounds goddamned ideal. I always wanted to go to the New Forest ever since I learned EMF were from there and I've never done it. Great shout. I even think you can wild camp in parts of the forest if I was feeling really masochistic (I am not. I will be getting a beautiful hotel in private grounds).
Brilliant, thanks. Sold to the man like @hugo7

Chain ferry from Sandbanks (Poole side) to Studland (Purbeck) is brilliant and takes you from footballer's wives hell to the 1950s in 5 mins flat.
Worth looking at Corfe Castle (steam train too), Tyneham village (WW2 ghost village), Durdle Door, Lulworth cove, Portland bill, Chesil beach etc. Bring your swimming kit.
Down to the New Forest / Poole via Surrey A and B roads (obvs not always on the A3).
Then west along the coast to Dorset / Somerset and back.
You could visit Stonehenge on the return route.
Unfortunately, there is no culture in that part of the world though. So it's just scenery, cream teas, and a better chance of nice weather.
