I'm still considering it (or the next best recommendation) but my phone having not gotten any worse (Wileyfox pushed Android 7.1.1) and some other expenses taking precedence have delayed me.
I'm not a heavy phone user anymore really, my main wants are quick browsing (mine is pretty laggy) and decent camera.
I don't need buckets of storage as the photos I do take are backed up to Google and I stream movies and music.

I'm the same. General internet, podcasts, youtube, and photos. A slow phone does frustrate me, though. Still happy, but I'm getting a weird bluetooth stutter when using one particular bluetooth speaker (Sony). Works fine with two sets of headphones (one of which is Sony). I've read that other people have had similar bluetooth issues (works fine with some things, not fine with others) so going to install another rom and see if that helps...

Cables ftw

seeing as the speaker does have a port, that would be the simplest option... But playing around with the phone is also sort of fun.

I just like shit to work. The quickest way to a suitably working solution is the one I will use.
I don't use Bluetooth for anything really though, other than the odd file transfer.

I like my bt headphones but apart from those and my fatbit, I don't use it much. Music in my flat is done through spotify on the Echo Dot which is plugged into the speakers and controlled either by voice or by the app (which doesn't need bluetooth).
I realised over the weekend that because I had once paired to a UE Boom speaker thing a while ago, my phone automatically connected to my neighbour's speaker. That could have been entertaining. I thought it was specific devices rather than just using the same name for the device?

Ta seems to be working now after doing the magical turn off and on again. Strange as I was reading out all of the commands and nothing was working.

Bah. UK Google Home doesn't work with Stringify at the moment. US-Eng only apparently.
FYI. Stringify is like IFTTT but you can use more than one trigger and result. Sort of 'If This and/or That Then This and/or That'.

My Bluetooth speaker becomes patchy when it or the phone are charging and they're really close.

Maybe that's it. It was plugged in. Will investigate!

Can't you just put on an American accent?

I have the first gen Wileyfox Swift. Great phone but fancy something slightly faster with more internal memory and a better camera. Don't want a big phone. Whats out there for about £200/£250?

A newer Wileyfox?

No other options? Google's own phones always seemed attractive for the vanilla android experience (which I prefer) and the priority to get the latest updates but Pixel seems mad pricey for a phone.

You can pick up older Google phones for relatively cheap now.

Is GiffGaff still considered good for data? Considering switching from EE (SimOnly) since reading a summary the OFCOM report last week. Seems like £8 cheaper a month, for the same text and minutes but I get 5GB instead of 3GB.

You may not get the same download speed/consistency of 4G coverage as EE brcause GiffGaff (read: O2) has fewer bands. Mother and brother both use it though and it's fine. I stayed on EE because loyalty discount.
PS which report?

Am I missing something with RideWithGPS for Android (running android 7). The screen turns itself off according to the default system setting (I've selected always on on the app) and it also ignores the screen rotation lock setting in the App. Do I need to give the app permission to control screen lock or something?

My HTC One M8 died yesterday. The battery will just drop from 99% to zero instantly. Obviously there's something amiss in there, but it's venerable enough that a replacement is fine.
Does anyone know anything about the Oneplus 5? I can't work out if your going to be able to just buy it, or have to get invited and wait around again. I can wait a couple of weeks if I can definitely get my hands on one, but not if there's then faff.

One plus 3 & 3t haven't used invites, I think they're past that now.

Cool, thanks - last time I tried was for the two. I'll pick up a feature phone and wait it out
Anyone else buy a Xiaomi Redmit Note 4 in the end? Still enjoying mine. Looking to root it now, though. Seeing if anyone's trodden that path before me.
