  • Pretty sure 10g/cm has been quoted before

  • Anyone know when/where the Supersix Evo black disc frameset will be available? Or if they're likely to bring out the HM Disc in some less offensive paintjobs?

  • Got my Caad3 back today after been stolen 2 years ago. I striped it to polish it and build it up from the ground.

  • @maki story?

  • I had the bike for years and rode it every day as it was my only bike. Also I cycled across Japan, Germany and Switzerland with it. I got it all ready to cross the alps two years ago and got it nicked the day before heading off.
    Found it on the web by pure chance and got it back now. Its exactly the same state as two years ago, even the handlebartape, saddle, tires and pedals weren't changed. So I took it apart to give it proper clean and treat it to a dura ace group in the next days.

  • Probably the cheaper version rather than the lighter one, Cannondale's claim for their high end SuperSix carbon fork is 280g (from 320g) on their updated 2016 model.

    Edit: reading the description, it may appear that there is a difference between the SuperSix fork and the CAAD12 fork in name only (this is from the CAAD12 Black Inc. description);

    CAAD12, SPEED SAVE, BallisTec Hi-MOD full carbon, 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" steerer, integrated crown race.

    From SuperSix;

    SuperSix EVO, SPEED SAVE, BallisTec Hi-MOD full Carbon, 1-1/8" to 1-1/4"steerer, integrated crown race

    From CAAD12 105 description;

    CAAD12, SPEED SAVE, BallisTec full carbon, 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" steerer, integrated crown race

    Someone at Weight Weenie strip his bike and weight the fork at 340g for the entry level 105 model, the 105 model fork possibily differ from your

    Lastly, Bikeradar claim that the higher end CAAD12 get the lighter fork;

    With the new CAAD12, Cannondale seems to be throwing down the gauntlet to the competition in high-grade alloy. The numbers are compelling: the frame weighs just 1098g, which is 52g lighter than the CAAD10, while the fork – based on Cannondale's new EVO design – weighs a mere 300g. More expensive CAAD12 models get the HM fork, a scarily light 280g.

  • I took a train to Venice instead. I bought a secondhand Look 585 frame which I had my eyes on the next day but I didn't manage to build it up in time.

  • Anyone after a pair of minty black Hollowgram SiSL crank arms? 175 flavour. Have various axles and spiders to go with it. Hit me up.

  • My supersix Black Inc forks are 399g including the headset bearings, uncut.

  • Finetuning the build, debranded stem and seatpost with some aceton. And new C13 saddle.
    Waiting for ENVE copy seatpost, zero offset, and King Cage cages.
    Can anyone suggest a very compact bar with with even less low drops, I don't use it so much as is.

    Sounds like you need a higher rise stem ;-)

  • Nah, I just don't really see the fun/plus of riding deep in the drops yet. I also like to have full contact with my brake levers etc. (it's busy on my commute), so the hoods is my main position. Something just a bit lower would be welcome for variation.

    Also, it might just be something to get uses to. I tested more 'comfortable' bikes but I would not ride those in the drops either. Not yet at least. ;)

  • Enve copy? You have a death wish? After snapping some carbon saddle rails in a crash I will Avoid at all costs cheap carbon in between my legs as it pierced the skin, nearly stabbing my femoral artery... not a risk worth taking for a £70 saving or a few grams

  • I've had 2 chinese seatposts that have both been absolutely solid. Not sure I'd risk a saddle though.

  • Reviews seem fine, and I'm low weight at 65kg. But will mention it here if I survive.

    For my stem and bars I would not even think of random chinese duplicates. Or maybe carbon in general.

  • After snapping some carbon saddle rails in a crash

    Chinese carbon or expensive carbon? Crashing bikes is risky business. Still impressed a saddle rail managed to snap and stab you. Must have been quite a tumble...

  • Admittedly it was on my mountain bike but all the same Chinese carbon between my legs gives me the creeps

  • I have 125g china carbon risers in a steel quill stem. Can anyone recommend a good dentist?
