I think I have been playing a lot of Destiny when I had a go.

I was really looking forward to playing it again after completing MGSV and ... the controls are different. All the actions are mapped to different buttons. Really threw me off and couldn't be bothered after that. Its meant to be good though

Yep, got her thanks. no idea what to do now mind. tbh i'm finding it a bit of a grind. Lots of load screens and cutscenes etc only some of which are skippable. I was amused by the 'walker' things after rescuing that mad scientist dude. But i'm disappointed by their definition of 'open world' (basically an on-rails canyon map that takes ages to navigate).

This is the most skippable MGS yet.

To be honest, I was pretty pessimistic when I heard of MGS going open world. It was essentially a vast expanse of nothing with a few installations here and there.
For me it had a bit of No Mans Sky syndrome with too much space with not enough detail.
I'm still wishing for a Fox Engine remake of MGS3. I would give all my money for that.

Christ I forgot how good that was. And in hindsight there's a hell of a lot of Hitman 2 assets there!

Yep that was a fun game...

Damn unforgiving also!
Ahh, the days before health regen was a thing...
-
• #17189
Health regen is for wusses
None of that in the best contemporary games.

Bought "Thumper" for Switch.
So freaking good and challenging.
Such a good idea!
Also preordered Cave Story and Binding of Issac.
Waiting for Arms reviews to come up but will probably pick it up.
Also Splatoon 2 excitement.
Owlboy annouced aswell.
Loving Switch so much.
PS4 and Xbox One covered in dust.
Still need to pick up new Resident doe. -

Just playing through Freedom Fighters again (see above), and would recommend checking that out. More of an urban guerilla setting than your typical modern military game but fits the bill otherwise.
Runs perfectly find on Win10 also. Basic tweak to a .ini file to get a modern resolution and you're all set.

That bastard Thunder Boss in Zelda, I'm a bit shit (read useless) with my dodges so guess I'm gonna have to nail those before I can knock the little shit off...

Tales from the Borderlands - standard TellTale Games fodder but I like them.
Picked it up for free on PS+ (not sure if it was last month or current month) but we'll worth a go if you like that sort of thing.
It's basically an interactive comic and your choices make for different outcomes. -

Reviews have been slightly disappointing (press that is, Steam reviews are solid), though I did enjoy the demo at a show a few months ago.
Am on the beta for Frozen Synapse 2. It's coming along well
It's a bloody stealth game, fam.
