I picked up my Loake Hyde from ebay for around £100, so maybe set up some searches. Loake do seem to pop up more than any other brand.
I know we've had a cold snap these last days, but this time of year I'd stick to shoes. Kinda feel the same about Trickers - for me at least a pair of Trickers should be some form of country shoe.

Cheers. I think there was a different brand from the same company that was cheaper, but I don't remember the name.

Nice pair of size 8.5 Loakes (possibly Fearnley's) in Lewisham tkmaxx for 80 quid this evening. Too small for me

£6 Cheaneys in Bath, couldn't resist a challenge. Must be a bit old, looks like this 'Old' Derby two tie isn't stocked in tan any more, only in black. Terrible condition upper. Took some time to strip it back and apply all sorts of leather care.
Creases will come back during wear, but they are much better now than when purchased on Monday. Really loving the worn-in tones to the toe and vamp, not easy to show here though.
Still working on these to try get the best result, but here are some pics so far:

Have just bought these for the summer, they seem highly recommended.

Ha, I've just got a pair of Goretex desert boots from Clark's. Probably a bit more realistic.

These came up on my search, wrong category - maybe someone with size 7 1/2 feet wants a vintage pair of Loake brogues for pennies?

Thanks
Messaged seller regarding postage to Denmark.
Would be something for me if they'll post. -
• #5487
If they won't, let me know, you can have them delivered to me and I'll send them on at cost.

Cheers. They'll post.

Sweet. Good luck.
Trying to muster the courage to think about selling a pair of my seldom worn shoes. Thinking the EU44 Tommy Hilfiger monk straps. They're beautiful and I just never wear them. Probably just polish them and put them back.

And I just had my best offer accepted for a pair of these... been after Grecian slippers for ages, and tried making my own a few pages back.
Hopefully they fit, as normally I'm EU 44 for good room in the toe area, so these are on the small side. Worth a punt at the price...
Church Hercules, new in box, size 8F.
Seller has one pair left if anyone here is also in the market. Offer over £20 and you may get lucky:

That's cheap.
I see that the price of these Isn't going down. Trickers malton (Biker chic).

Yup. Even £40 is a mad bargain for good quality Grecians, so you're laughing if any offer below that is accepted. Thought someone here might want in.

With a full leather sole (no insert) on those slippers i'd be guaranteed to fall down the stairs within the hour
Any recommendations for an online retailer with a good selection that I might not have thought of? I'm basically looking for the online equivalent of a stroll down Jermyn Street. Looking for something nice in black or brown to pair with a suit for a wedding that I can wear more casually in future (have checked End, Mr Porter, Kafka)

I have a brand new pair of Oliver Sweeney Aldeburgh black size 10. I returned an item and recieved a gift note & bought the shoes but due to a nasty ankle injury i never wore out on the street but only in my garden to see if i could get on with them so to speak as i jured my ankle quite badly but i found they were not ok so i need a softer sole shoe instead. They are brand new and cost £190. I'd sell them for £120... I will put them on imgur if anybody is intetested. They are a lovely smart shoe or are ok with jeans/chinos..

Anyone familiar with George Webb by Barker shoes? TK Maxx seems to have a load of them at the moment.
-
• #5496
From what I've seen, Barker have made loads of shoes like this. There are "Savile Row by Barker", for example. Can't remember if those GW's are made in England, as in the past my local TKMaxx only had baby-sized pairs, so didn't check the construction too closely.
Can't go wrong with Barker if they're cheap enough.
EDIT: Also see here:

Cheers. There are a whole variety of them and normal Barkers at around £80 and I need some new work shoes. Online though (my local shop never has decent shoes) so I can't see what they're like.

EU44 Tommy Hilfiger monk straps.
I'd try and get them up this weekend in time for that all important ebay-payday-Sunday-listing. Monks and double monks are already going the way of boat shoes. Best cash in before it's too late.
Or else just hold until they come back in and cash in on the gain you've made from general inflation.
-
• #5499
It depends who made your double monks and wether they 'made them' or 'made them to be fashionable'. Lobb.
