Man United cannot finish in the top 4. Lovely

• #136128
They could still 1-1 their way to the Champions League though.

Happy to see us in sixth even in that

Congratulations to Tottenham on winning another made up league.
Happy for them to win as many of these as they like, just so long as they never win a real one.
Even in our darkest days, we never went more than 50 years without a league title.

He's just a poor man's Sean Dyche.

If Pochettino can turn Lamela into a contributing player, I'm sure he'll be ok with Barkley. Should be a decent enough replacement for Eriksen when Real et al come calling.

Someone will still come in for Silva over the summer.

Eriksen? Real?

This both Clive and TS seem to be enjoying Tottenham's misery more than their own success which is symptomatic of an underlying inferiority complex

I'm simply enjoying Corny's misery... #theinvisibleone

I couldn't give two fucks about the Spuds, they've had a great season tho', fair play to them...

As opposed to the superiority complex of most middle aged Liverpool fans based solely on the fact that their club won the league a lot when they were children...

It's a shame for them they didn't win the league this season, they'll be fucked when they move to Wembley next season. It takes time to settle into a new stadium, but to have to do in a temporary home, means their doomed. If Pochettino has any sense, he'll take a job elsewhere for next season.

It's just a myth. Nonsense. Not substantiated.
If Liverpool finish top 4 it can be viewed as a successful season. Perhaps allowing us to attract some top talent over the summer. How many times can I repeat that I do not believe Liverpool will win the league again, certainly not in my lifetime, before all this nonsense ends? -

Typical Liverpool Fan.

Got work on, haven't had time to place my tuppence on the table, as it's difficult to wade through the mass of articles saying
A) we need to win something or lose manager/players
B) the new stadium will break us and the move to Wembley means we're doomed to failure, as we haven't won there in forever
C) everyone below us will double down and throw money at our players/manager leaving is a wreck of a club who won't be able to fill our shiny new stadium...I'm happy with second, progress is good, know that if a player leaves us at this stage it's only for the money, as we're in the champions league, been the team putting the eventual champions under pressure two seasons on the spin, and have a coach whose charismatic, coaches his players up, and wants to create a true team spirit and ethos...
On the reality that Chelsea fans seem to be taking more pleasure out of beating us to the league than actually winning the league, that shows how partisan and tribal london football is and why I wasn't as shocked as others that we lost to West Ham to hand the league to Chelsea. We've got eight derbies a year now, and each one will be a hard fought game. And as more players come to the premier league the london clubs are going to become harder to beat as foreign players chose london over Bournemouth or Newcastle or Burnley..
Anyway congratulations to Chelsea and glad that batshuayi got a run out and made a mark which can never be forgotten even if he never does anything else and is replaced by lukaku..

Pretty dire season, but at least Swansea didn't get relegated.
League table since Paul Clement took over.
