Parcel Force: I'm waiting on a package from Rose Bikes, and Parcel Force failed to deliver it (or notify me that they were trying) tree times. To get it sent on a Saturday costs £12. To get it sent to a neighbour costs £5 (!). They deliver between 8 and 6, and everyone at my house is at work from 830 to 530 at least. What are my options beyond paying some bullshit surcharge?

@mdcc_tester @Emyr yeah, probably the safest option, but I've got no car and once I've got a taxi (big box) I may as well have paid the Saturday surcharge. I'm at least going to complain to Rose and see if they'll consider a different courier in future. Even all the other shit ones are more flexible and communicative than Parcel Force.

Buy a cargo bike. Everyone loves an n+1 moment.

I totally would, except I'm moving to Glasgow later this year and I'm in the middle of an n-2 dilemma! If someone's got a cargo bike that I could borrow, that's a different story...

How big, what depot and where does it need to end up? If you ask you may find a helping hand.

It's a set of wheels (so presumably about 100x150x50 box?), it's at the London East depot and I need to get it to N16. Any help very much appreciated!

If it's a large box they'll leave it at a depot. Stuff always ends up in Dartford for me when I live 2 minutes walk from Charlton depot.

Seems to depend on the driver's mood and the package size. I had one at the local sub post office recently, but I've collected loads from London West depot. Obviously not a problem for me as I drive a van past it every day :)

I get all my amazon parcels delivered to the nearest Doodle store which is free with amazon prime. I believe they offer a paid service where you can get anything delivered to them to collect later

But everyone's out of stock for the pelago!

But for the likes of eBay, from private sellers doesn't it have to be home address?

And there's no doodles where I live.

I wish you could always use click and collect but it's not always an option.

Bitex comes to mind otherwise. And DT 240.

DT Swiss - Whatever hubs are on the R24 Spline DB would match that, apart from the rear would be 10mm thru axle.

My R24s came with various endcaps for QR, thru axle and proper big axle (12x142?).
