I can confirm the shifter is now clocked correctly and working.

I actually have an entire NOS 7410 groupset that I have accumulated over several years. Now I just need a frame...

• #654
What would this be worth if I were to sell it, anyone know?

With these sorts of bikes it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I think if you need to sell it quickly, you'll get £750ish but if you wait for the buyer then you might get as much as £1500.
Why you no keep?

I probably will keep it, every now and then I just get a bit itchy about owning "stuff", and have an urge to reduce the quantity of things around me. It's a truly beautiful bike (to me) and I don't believe I would be able to replace it like-for-like, that said.

Could you loan it to a museum or something? Then you have less stuff but can call on it again if you ever feel the urge

Hang it the Raphé

• #663
Hah! I suspect it's insufficiently Italian.

Sell the Klein mtb before this. At least this rides nice.
-
• #665
A friend of mine is roaming the grounds of his manor on that, so it's out of sight/out of mind.
-
• #666
Get rid of it. It's just old junk that's only good for nostalgia, which is essentially a complete waste of time anyway. Give it to LMNH for display or something.
Unless you are actually going to ride it regularly of course. If so keep it.

Over winter, yes - I got into a conversation last summer with a guy who said that he was horrified that I was using it to commute on.
The mechanic has been severely disciplined, and the shifter position rectified.
