Do we really need to draw it for you?In the kind of tone you'd use for someone who was being stupid.

I'd Happily throw a cheese and wine party with perhaps some light jazz in the background when that wattle chinned Tory fuck dies.

Zizek does a Zizek on the French election
http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/french-elections-marine-le-pen-emmanuel-macron-no-real-choice-a7714911.htmlSigh. I mean, he can be funny but he's a posturing blowhard.

An interesting article to read.
The thing I don't get is this chat about the failure of the left.
They secured almost 1⁄5 of the vote. Almost exactly the same as the centre right and only c.2% less than Le Pen.
In a society where the vote seems to be fairly evenly split between; left, centre, centre right, extreme right, it seems pretty reasonable to expect the majority and the country to be run by the centre ground rather than the radical left or the radical right.
(obvs i get it's meant to be provocative)

The left is suffering in the UK, but yeah that's very close.

I know most people round here don't like Le Pen's politics, but it would surely be a great thing for French diversity to have a woman President?
-
• #45042
Yeah because it's had a real impact on equality for us...

• #45043
Farage could be la consort presidential, sit on her knee in parliament and bark at people.
-
• #45044
It certainly has - it's proven that absolutely any Oxbridge grad can be PM in the UK, regardless of sex, talent or electoral mandate.

Any evidence this career politician has ever espoused any support for Womens' Rights?
I know she's fully behind the (far) Right,
but the Womens' element appears missing from her racist, Nationalistic slogans. -

And yet Eton still only admits boys.

Not perse, she is siding with the "women in the kitchen raising kids" lot in the EU parliament... I know where that talks leads to/comes from.
We always assume somebody's body has an influence on decisions on equality, but I'm not so sure lately, seeing all the pro-criminalization-of-abortion women all over the world. She may just follow the money (putin)/votes.
Macron has a much older missus, so there's that: Older politician and younger mistress cliche averted ;)

Ah, I had £10 on 'retire from what'? as the first reply.
In 'the good old days',
the Audit Commission would be surcharging the members ofthe Garden Bridge Trust.
