Next year's Tomb Raider movie has potential...
"Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished when she was scarcely a teen. Now a young woman of 21 without any real focus or purpose, Lara navigates the chaotic streets of trendy East London as a bike courier, barely making the rent, and takes college courses, rarely making it to class."

Warwick Uni Professor.
Is he trolling for attention?

I think it helps to read that tweet of his in the context of his other tweets before and after it.

Ha, yes indeed. I just meant to at least give him the benefit of doubt. Seems like he's doing a Dawkins.

He's having a discussion. Maybe starting from a provocative place because he thinks it will stimulate an interesting discussion, maybe because he thinks it will get him attention. But we're all so quick to jump to cynical conclusions that's it's oh so very easy to assume that he's doing it because he's evil/trolling/attention-seeking. And I wonder if that's part of the point of what he's doing - he at one point describes the concept of white privilege as 'totalising' and later as 'phlogiston', which makes me think he's coming at it from a post-modern perspective and looking at how the discourse of privilege is used as a cosh to beat people round the head with, and has to an extent lost touch with its original thrust. Foucault criticised Marxism as a totalising narrative for similar reasons, if I can over-simplify massively.
I'm sure someone will be along shortly to tell me that I'm part of the problem...

Here's Tim Wise describing how elites can exploit racism to divide and conquer the working class
Yes, the racism needs to be addressed. But rather than tell people they're evil and racist, maybe the more effective thing is to show them how they're actually in the same boat as the people of a different race, and that they need to join together to fight back against the people who are actually fucking them over.
Yelling and bullying may be cathartic, but it just contributes to the polarisation and doesn't offer many strategies for change.

Steve Fuller is an academic troll, yes. Encountered him speaking once at a conference on Darwin where he was extolling Intelligent Design. Spoke to him afterwards and he didn't make much sense but loved the sound of his own voice.

The DVLA has a place you can report dangerous drivers. It also has a comments section which people have been mistakenly using to report stuff.
One of them was this one:

I'm sorry, but that's one of the most half-arsed attempts at a punny headline I've seen.
