Warranty.

Thing is..... I've so many 3rd party components on there I think Brompton would say 'warranty void'.

I've got a Bern (Alu copy of a Brompton, built under license in Taiwan -
at least initially. No idea if mine is authorised or not. Possibly not). Gonna use it as my wife's bike. Need to make a few upgrades to make it ok and also allow me to fit on it where necessary. I'd need a telescopic seat post. Trying to keep costs down so I'm going to do this:
https://yacf.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=83288.0Seems easy enough plus if I bugger it up I've still got the original short seat post from my S2L so I can always use that until I can order a telescopic.
I'll post some pics at some point. Its not bad really. Genuine Sturmey 3 speed, better chainset (much more like new Brompton one), awful tyres. Grip shift! Brakes aren't great (single pivot calipers). All stuff to upgrade as time goes on.

Found my rear mudguard rubbing on the tyre by the roller. Common problem, or have I been a bit heavy handed with my fold?

Check the mudguard stay, could be bent a bit, should be easy to remedy.

Anyone entering the nocturne folding bike race?

Where's a good place in central London to try a Brompton?
-
• #2965
Brompton Junction in Covent Garden? You can usually just drop in and try one.

Thanks, I didn't even know that existed, looks perfect.

Another option is to hire one and then you can take it home, try it on the train, put it in the car or whatever is important to you.
There is a dock in King's Cross - https://www.bromptonbikehire.com/docks/3135-kings-cross

How much does it cost?

A rider was robbed for his Brompton in Ion Square Gardens in late April:

Brompton servicing, where's the best place in central London? (ideally without going far South or West).
-
• #2974
The chains sell loads of Bromptons so they should be fine with servicing one - cycle surgery, evans etc
But I'd recommend Bikefix on Lamb Conduit St in Holborn

Talk to me about ergo grips. Like the look of Wiggle's two options, are the bar ends gonna fuck with my fold?

If you're in London take it to Phoenix cycles, the man there has been servicing Bromptons for so long I bet he'll know what's wrong...
