Googled Ashley House to make sure I was thinking of the right bloke being replaced by Edwards (which seems an incredibly arbitrary choice for a presenter), very odd what it turns up.

I'm intrigued now.
Poor weather continues in Switzerland, today's stage has been reduced in duration because of it.

Jonathan Edwards isn't the most obscure choice ever - he's a keen cyclist, a decent presenter and has fronted some of the BBC's coverage of cycling events in the past if I remember - Olympics, Ride London Classic, etc. Does seem a bit harsh on Ashley House - I thought people rather enjoyed him and Flecha?

From what I've read, Ashley House and Juan-Antonio Flecha will continue to be part of the Eurosport team for the Giro, it's just Edwards is the lead presenter.

Just tragic really, his wife committed suicide a few years ago during a cocaine binge and her father blamed him. She was an actress in Waterloo Road apparently.
But its the second time I've googled a Eurosport presenter only to find some strange stuff.

Well that makes sense - the chemistry between House and Flecha was good, but House's solo presentation is nothing to write home about.
I mean, I'd argue that no one gives two hoots about the presentation and it would be far more beneficial for ES to work on the commentary during the races - Test Match Special style would make so much sense for me - but hey ho. -

Carlton K-watch.
It's pissing down in Romandie and somehow he just manages to conjure up "Fighting Germans in the desert? We used to do a bit of that. Monty vs Rommel.."
It's time for a proper change, Eurosport. It's unnecessary, embarrassing and offensive.

Just saw this on twitter: he's the racist grandpa that embarrasses everyone at family gatherings

This is tragic;

Been a shit few weeks for cycling indeed.

Bit shit really when they have to cancel a stage.
Maybe Zwift should step in and they can have a turbo trainer race off between the leaders.

• #11015
Gutted to see this, too much tragedy atm. Stay safe everyone

Good to see the cycling live on tv. But jeez, ITV have more adverts than cycling. Terrible viewing experience during a live race.

Poor Viviani, misses out on the 100th edition of the Giro, despite clearly being in good form.
-
• #11019
Yeah, knocking on the door. Clearly in good form.

• #11020
Ah FFS. Some nasty damage.
-
• #11021
Good ride from Opie.
-
• #11022
Real shame for Viviani not to ride in his own race but he has taken it on the chin. I saw some criticisms of Sky for it but someone else pointed out they supported him in his successful bid for Olympic track gold. But they clearly see sprinters as superfluous in GTs.

Marcin Białobłocki to ride Giro. Bet he's happy. Good for him.

Good racing by the ladies in the Tour of Yorkshire

Just saw Dani King chuck a gel wrapper though, heavy judging
Please, that kind of language might be acceptable in academe, but this is the internet.
Some mild, possible, poke at the EU is not evidence of support for Brexit is it?
I quite like him, at times, maybe not with Brian Smith, he's better with BIG Magnus or the GCN people. I don't see him as a bigot though.
Cock.
