Will ride l-b-l as well. I doubt that it will rain. If so only for the first 2hours. No need for rain stuff

Hmm... I shared your optimism a few weeks ago but accuweather says rain all day for Saturday... Ah well... If I don't wear it I'll return it!

Pro Team Lightweight Gillet v Classic Gillet. They're both updated, but any experience of which is more versatile?
I want something to wear coming back on nights like tonight after a high tempo ride but would also be useful on a week long tour.

depends on where you are touring, in France there is a minimum hi viz requirement for night time riding

Sounds like you want a brevet gilet.

Anyone know how the core bibs compare to classics in terms of comfort/fit? Pretty happy with my classics but they're a little short for my liking. Is it worth splurging on Pro Team for neon RAPHA and longer shorts?

what's the difference between the Brevet and Classic apart from the reflective stripes?
@dancing james that's good to know! Scotland this year so expecting pretty changable weather conditions.

One is for doing classic cycling and one is for collecting stamps.

I do not rate the Core bibs. I am probably alone in this, but I don't like the cut around the chamois and "the package" jostles into an uncomfortable position more often while riding than in my other bibs.

I quite like my core bibs. especially the gripper is rly nice. chamoix works for me the same as it does on pro team thermal, deep winter or pro team aero.

I prefer the core bibs over the classics, they are more comfortable for me.

Same size?

Another +1 for core I find them pretty similar to old lightweight bibs but I'm probably wrong
-
• #28520
No, I'm a size smaller in the Core bins, but that might be because Rapha's sizing has changed in the last couple of years.

What Señor_Bear said.
One is 100% Nylon and the other is 100% Polyester.

Are all Rapha jerseys short in the body? I have a lovely, elegantly long torso and the core jersey is a bit short, even if I size up to club-fit levels of bagginess.

My 2pc,
Current Core convert, probably the best bibs I have used even when punching against ones that are twice the price.. I wear Medium in the Cores and Medium in the Lightweights..
I actually like all the core range items TBH, I used the rain jacket on a recent London to Paris ride and was very very impressed with it. I think I will be buying some more with the current 25% discount, I am just pissed however that I missed out on the "winter" core bundle price of £190 for the jersey, bib and jacket that I also had a 20% further discount code for.. I missed the cut off date to use the discount by 24 hours..TWAT

I found the Core and one other maybe the training jersey or whatever it is called to be quite short in the body, I can wear both jerseys with the Core bibs but with my lightweights on the jersey is higher than the lowest bit of the bib front, so not wearable in my eyes, I also have a longer Torso but I am not massive by any means..
The jerseys work great when in the riding position but as said I would have to choose bibs carefully,
