Friends girlfriend is thinking about getting them a wii, as they played one a couple of years back and enjoyed it, she wants to play games as well and doesn't want it to be too spendy.
Am I right in saying she should go for a switch, which hopefully has the fun of the wii/wii u without being outdated?
Would any of you Nintendo bods recommend a wii/wii u over a switch?

There's a significant price difference, 2nd hand Wiis are under £50 with a few games, etc (I was planning to buy one for Mario Kart until I realised that I could just play it on an emulator).
yeah, but will they still make games for it? Is it now out of date? Wondering whether the Wii U or Switch would have a longer life than a 2nd hand wii?
