chocolate eggs, a rock in another country and the colour of documents. Get the top priorities sorted first and the rest will fall into place

Not to mention that the name "Easter" itself is derived from the name of a pagan goddess of spring (Oestre/Ostara).

Actually, I think we might be at war with Spain.
Our respective battleships are apparently bothering each other.

And an air war (of sorts) may have broken out too

I wouldn't know the first thing about finance if it stood up in my soup. It does seem to make sense that it would be strange if 75% of whatever transactions are being talked about continued to take place in London, but in practice there will undoubtedly be a lot of horse-trading and fine detail work around this, and only eggheads will be able to understand any of it. (Brexit needs eggsperts, right?)

No, I don't understand much of it. I believe that other ccy's are cleared in other countries, but don't know what it takes to do this - I guess at least some approval of those countries regulators.
I completely agree though - it intuitively doesn't make any sense at all for the EU to continue to allow it to all happen through London.

A robust assessment of Brexit (but difficult to fault)

Funny enough Farage voted against...
No doubt he has some "reason"...

He stated reasons about the EU mafia wanting to hold the UK to ransom. He probably also objects to the ECJ being the court which has jurisdiction over the exit deal.
The money and sovereignty argument.

He's playing to his own audience, but the result is that he's pissing off everyone.
The results of calling the EU a mafia VS working out a deal acknowledging the rules are vast.
If he would vote against complaining the UK people abroad need a better deal, or propose something, OK, but what goes around now is that he called the UK a mafia.
Can the man really not come up with anything more constructive?

The Council has put together a handy compilation of abstracts/links to what all the think tanks have been saying about Brexit

I'm currently on a cheap holiday in the Austrian Alps staying with some UK nationals who moved here for work.
It's fucking lovely. I'm off to the pub shortly to try to make friends with actual Austrians in case our U.K. pals get sent home.
I'm going to crowdfund a holiday here for the 52%. I can't believe they wouldn't change their mind. It's so much better than the UK.

46.7 percent voted for the anti-immigration Freedom Party . pretty tight there . thats a far right party on near 50%

I have some friends that took job transfers from Austria to the UK and where shocked.

While this is true its not as simple as that. For starters this was in a run off election vs the green party, allot of people that would have voted for more traditional conservative parties voted for them over the greens (who won.) In the firs round they drew around 35%. That and austrian geography means that legitimately large sections of the country are home to people that have probably never talked to a foreigner or person of color leaving them susceptible to right wing press and fake news fuckery. No city of size here is really like that.

The Tyrol is a weird place, and the locals can be very insular, if you are anything other that a visiting tourist.
Also, they talk funny, with their neh and Grias-di.
