I'd look into bone conduction headphones. You can get wireless bluetooth ones, but wired are cheaper, I guess.

I'm really pleased with my MEE Audio M6 PRO IEM Earphones they're really comfortable and don't move around in my lugholes like almost every other in ears I've used.

Seconded on MEE audio, I use the cheaper non- pro ones exclusively for running, and find for podcasts they're fine quality. For music, I'd say the upgrade would be worth it.

Excellent suggestions, thanks.

I need some new gym headphones, but I have really awkward shaped ear canals. So maybe over ear.
Don't want to spend a lot

OK, so finally picked up some QC35s. They're good. Looking forward to using them at work.

I've gone back a few pages but didn't find what I was looking for. What's the word on the street for in-ear plugs with a Lightning connector? Currently use Sennheiser CX200 and looking for something similar but with the Lightning connector already on them. Don't know if I'm ready to go full Bluetooth yet.

I tried both the 35s and 25s (wired, no bluetooth) and went for the 25s based purely on them sounding noticeably better. They also have longer battery life and less to go wrong.
And honestly, most of their use for me was going to be plugged into aeroplane entertainment or an ipod classic, so BT is of only occasional benefit. -

I absolutely love my 35s
For me the bluetooth is really good. Wear them commuting, at work, at the gym and on a couple of flights and they've been faultless. The battery last a week (around 30 hours of use). I tried the on ear 25s and over ear 25s for a week before I bought these and didn't notice any difference other than a slight improvement in bass for the 25s. But the NC is a real plus point, especially when travelling.

Anyone recommend some inexpensive noise cancellation headphones? Thinking under £150.
Don't need to be wireless i guess as I expect running Bluetooth on my phone on a 14 hour flight will murder the battery.

You can usually charge phones on long haul. I would consider BT if possible as it makes things much easier especially when travelling.

After some over-ear noise cancelling headphones
I've seen some smaller sized over-ear headphones being worn by London's tech savvy youth but dont know the brands.

I have Sennheiser Momentum wireless On ear. Do a good job but not cheap.
I also have Sennheiser PXC310 which are still reasonable for the age and probably the smallest out there. About fifty quid on eBay.
I thought you said on ear though so this may be useless.

The mic on my Sennheiser MM30i packed up the other day (though speakers are still working), so I went to find a cheap replacement whilst at work (messing) and needed something with a mic for answering calls but the price of which wasn't going to make my balls shrivel (MM30i were £45!)
I picked up some Sol Republic in-ears with a mic for £15.99 in HMV. Considering the price, the sound is actually good compared to others in that bracket, fit is ok, flat cable to reduce tangling, construction is alright (not overly plasticy) and a nice simple shape to the buds (I hate fancy designs). So they meet most of my requirements. Two disappointments; the only colours available were red and chartreuse (no black) and most upsettingly, they suffer from wind noise quite badly, noticeable immediately whilst on the bike.
Would recommend for an emergency replacement, or a cheap in-ear option if you're not using them in a Scottish gale or at any speed.

The tiny tube, through which sound emerges and the ear sleeve fits, has shaped on my Shire 425s.
She's anyone have any experience with getting Shures mended?

AKG N60 NC. On the ear rather than over. Sound is very good with NC switched on. I'm no audiophile but reviews are positive.

That would likely need a whole new casing. Are they within warranty? Even if they aren't might be worth contacting shure directly.

Would anyone be interested in a Lehmann Audio Rhinelander headphone amp?
I have two for sale as they're about to be surplus to requirements.
They're both the black version, both in great condition and perfect working order.
They currently sell for between £300 and £335 depending on where you buy them.
I'm looking for £175 each.

Sennheiser Momentum 2 in-ears - worth it or is there something better in same price bracket (under a ton - edit: or closer to 70-80 would be nice)?

I finally caved and bought a set of Beats X. Weird to pay over a ton for a pair of headphones that don't sound, objectively, any better than a cheap set of Skullcandys, but I have to admit that the bluetooth experience is a total pleasure, and much more freeing than you'd think.
Any recommendations for some cheapish running headphones?
I recently started running and I'm getting increasingly pissed off at having to keep popping my earbuds back in my ears every several strides.
They needn't be any better quality than the Apple earbuds, so hopefully that lowers the bar/cost a bit. All I listen to when I run are either podcasts or Radio4.
