I've never had to think about rake before. How do I work that out? As for axel to crown length, I guess that's why they've asked for the maximum tyre size I plan on using.

Measure the rake of your old fork, you won't get it exact but it will give you a rough idea. Also the smaller the amount of rake the tighter the front clearance ;)
