Been charged £85 from LBS to do the following work:
- Relace rear brake cable
- put chain on
- index gears
- replace nut on front brake
- new pads for front brake
- clip excess cables
- tidy up bartape
This that excessive? Sounds a bit high.. Anyone wanna do it for 50?

Nope, unless £85 is the labour, then you can shop around, some shop do it for £70, some even £60.

Real question is, are you happy to leave your bike with that shop?
