This one has been very reliable for me over the past couple of years.

My bluetooth strap is getting on my tits (yes, that's a chest strap joke).
New battery, salty water, tightened, etc. Will it talk to my phone for more than 5 seconds? Will it fuck!

Updated the firmware on my vortex and it's given a couple wild 2000w+ readings in a session. Hope it's not a regular error.
Is there a way to delete errant data points in Golden Cheetah?

Has this thread been resolved yet?
If not, what's the latest forum advice on:
Direct Drive - is it worth getting one at the lower end (i.e.) 450 quid: https://www.evanscycles.com/elite-turbo-muin-direct-drive-smart-b-EV256907
or worth getting a regular smart trainer at that price- i.e. skipping the entry and going for mid level?
https://www.evanscycles.com/tacx-genius-trainer-EV254589I don't care about training profiles or any fanciness - I just want to be less fat. I'm housebound for the next few months (at least in terms of cycling) and have a solid kitchen floor and plenty of space with no worries about noise.
I'm prob going to give Zwift or similar a go but don't have or desire heartrate monitors etc. Just a smooth ride with relatively realistic resistance so I can do some sprints and a few longer stretches a day.

If you don't have to worry about noise get a lemond revolution.

How noisy are we talking :) I'll have a sleeping baby in the next room - white noise is fine but chinook taking off might be more problematic.

Well, you won't hear the baby crying, put it that way ;)

I've had a Kurt Kinetic Rock n'Roll for about 2 years now and always loved it. I've noticed recently that its started feeling really 'hard' to ride, an that i'm finding it harder and harder to train on, the sort of feeling that the brakes are on.
Could it maybe be the flywheel is FUBAR? I've never done any maintenance etc on it.
It could of course just be me being a wuss.

Following on from the above, i may be able to get a relatively cheap Kickr Snap. The reviews are not all that great - i.e., difference in power reading from the turbo and a PM, weird calibrations etc - anyone got anyone got any first-hand feedback?

Any solutions for having a platform to put a computer mouse at the same height as handlebars for my turbo cave? Currently am using an ironing board, which is a bit OTT and takes up a lot of space (but does the job nonetheless). Some kind of small floor standing pedestal that folds away? Or even something that hooks off the bars somehow?
Any ideas much appreciated!

I've been using a sheet music reading stand with the angle adjusted so it's flat.
It's compact and reasonably stable - similar to this

If you're not averse to overkill:

Actually depending on what bars you're using and what's a good position for you, probably just 2 x superclamps back to back with a spigot would do the job though you have less flexibility about where the mousemat is positioned.

• #1518
I just pick up the mouse and run it over my hand or a mouse mat that I pick up. Cheap, effective.

Noob question. If I buy this:
and this:
Do I have everything to get power data and to get going on Zwift?

Couldn't find a thread for rollers, so will ask here: Does anyone know where I can buy the Sportcrafters Overdrive Pro Rollers (https://www.sportcrafters.com/products/bike-rollers/overdrive-pro-rollers) in the UK? Or even just the magnetic drum thing (which I assume will fit in the standard Cycleops aluminum rollers)? Or should I just get a cycleops roller with one of their resistance units - has anyone had experience of both?

Who needs a fan?
I have one going free, I've never used it. It came with the turbo I bought here.Collection se26
