Typical workload for me would be a VPN running into our corporate network, Outlook, Excel (sometimes), PowerPoint (a lot), and then a load of browser windows- some internal services, some external such as Salesforce. Nothing taxing, but that said multiple browser windows cause my Air to go at a crawl (4Gb RAM), so as to be practically unusable.
So! MacBook or MacBook Pro?
From a personal standpoint I'm likely to use it to edit or simply mess around with Photographs, and if I ever charge my GoPro again to assemble short video clips to upload to YouTube.
