I've got a pair of giro SPD shoes, I can't remember which ones I'm afraid, but they have the replaceable pads, a bit like a pair of dragons.
I had to cut the pad down in the end as they would let the cleats engage with the pedals. It was a massive pain the arse to be honest and nobody would acknowledge the problem, (Evans or Giro)
I wouldn't buy any Giro shoes again
Was so close to buy a pair of republics LX (genuine leather), but then I read that the pads are in the way for pedals like A600 which is what I have on one bike.
Should I get them anyway and cut away at the pads?
Are there any alternatives in the same price range? I want laces and real leather.
