  • Much like the JFK assassination or the forum redesign we will probably never really know what was behind it. It looks as though Naesen crashed because he hit the barrier feet though. Shame he's not had more of a mention too, I doubt anyone was thinking about him much a few weeks ago.

  • 1% chance he'll ride this Sunday :-(

    poor Sep

  • Phinney out too with concussion.

Not sure who's grave JV spat on.

  • He'll get other opportunities, he's still only 28 despite it feeling like he's been around for years.

  • That'll buff out.

  • That crash came with 50km or so to go? Fair fucks to him for cracking on. Perfect weather for a bespoke off the shoulder jersey to be fair.

  • 50km with a broken finger. Nope

  • Yeah, the team car was with him, he had a busted bike and no shirt left, thought he was going to get into the car but he carried on. Either he's a hard bastard or Vaughters was being a dick and insisted he finish

  • He's a hard bastard. He knew he needed 250 kms in his legs if he was going to be competitive next Sunday, even if his participation then was (and remains) in doubt. That's why Rowe finished too.

  • Ha, yeah I saw that. He waited for the car and rather than getting they just had a quick chat and he was off again.

  • DNF in results though, wonder why

  • Yeah I know but every opportunity at P-R that goes lost is one too many

  • Vanmarcke? Perhaps they called it before he finished? How queer

  • Didn't even bother with a fresh jersey #badass

  • Yeah but optimistic given the state of that finger. Good to see van Baarle get fourth, some consolation for Cannondale

  • Another bad day for Quickstep. They just never learn.

  • Just think how good they'd be with a pro armchair DS at the helm.

  • Phinney and Sep both out of PR.
    Cannondale really is a curse.

    Mullen needs to leave soon!

  • Their kit designer needs to leave as well

  • Thoughts about P-R? I had one: de Panzerwagon. At Quickstep despite making noises about trying for the win he was usually deployed as a chaser of breaks. Now he's at Katusha he and Kristoff have really lead their classics campaign. If the stars align I would love to see him have a strong race. Fanciful I know but then no-one would have said Hayman last year.

  • I'd say their helmet designer is the more urgent

  • Had this conversation with a mate yesterday but we decided #armchairds style that he would struggle in that P-R is a hard race to get into a TT frame of mind for due to the constant changes between cobbles and road. That said, would love to see him do it though.

  • I love PR, best race of the year.
I'd love to see Stybar win, but since we' re supposed to hate quickstep...
Where did Naeson come from? What a boss.
Can't see past Sagan though. There aren't many who can rip the race apart on the cobbles, cancellara style.

  • From no where really, but he's Belge. So it's gutting for him to get taken out but chopper Sagan. He's only 26 so time.

  • I was just thinking because it is a race of attrition and lacks climbs it is a parcours that could really suit his strengths #wishfulthinking
