Inrng says leave the bike at home
-
I go most years, sadly not this time though. I usually ride the pave on the saturday (all the route signs are up and everyone is out riding it!)
The area around Wallers en Haveluy has a section before and after Arenberg. There is a sector of pave between them that isn't used. When they pass after the first sector head (sector 20) head to Wallers (sector 18) using this unused sector and a bit of road and watch them twice.
I then head to Arenberg and watch the rest of the race on the big screen.
If you have a car you can get to more sectors but route planning is a lot harder, and the police may close a road on the day so your plans may get scuppered.
Thinking of going to see Paris Roubaix. Has anyone been and is it feasible to get around to a few different sections on a bike?
