Back to shop, they'll remedy this (if they know what they're doing).

New bike time, get Dammit to knock one up for you.
Sounds more like a warped rotor, plenty of videos on how to check and adjust them.
Or it could just be dirt on the rotor in which case clean with citrus degreaser.

Anyone interested in a pair of Avid HSX before I eBay them? Very minimal usage, just surplus to requirements. £35.
-
• #3605
No, the noise issue was there before. The worn pads didn't help, certainly, but it was an issue beforehand.

Anyone got a couple of 20mm (140-160/160-180 etc) post to post mount adapters I could pur-chase off them or know of where stocks them?
-
• #3607
If you need it asap, try your local Evans, they had a disc adapter I needed recently despite supposed not having it online.
-
• #3608
This was my first port of call - I have a feeling I've actually found the same before! Thanks for the reassurance!
-
• #3609
I think I do, but they're far away.
They'll be free though. -
• #3610
All sorted now, but thank you!
-
• #3611
Bloody hell TRP. Would it have too much to ask to have allen-bolt screws to attach the rotor, rather than those wanky star head ones?
-
• #3612
Less chance of rounding them.
-
• #3613
You mean Torx? I'm afraid you're on your own there!
-
• #3614
I think I've got the necessary bit somewhere, but it means my multitool is useless for it. 1st world problems and all that...
-
• #3615
Most rotor bolts are T25, some cheapo bikes use Allen but not many.
-
• #3616
All my multitools have got a torx bit on them
-
• #3617
Posh fuckers.
None of my multitools have Torx bits.
-
• #3618
(Almost) All mtb multitools will have T25. It's still not likely to be something you need to adjust mid-ride!

It's still not likely to be something you need to adjust mid-ride!
True, but sod's law it's the first thing to come loose during early breaking-in rides.
-
• #3620
I carry a T25 tool anyway because Zipp aerobars.
-
• #3621
A lots of high end road bike come with T25 too, BMC for example.
-
• #3622
but sod's law...
...if it haven't been torqued.
-
• #3623
I thought you said 'high end'?
-
• #3624
This is why they come with fixing compound on them from the factory.

Just changed pads on my HyRd's.
Back is fine but front not longer gives full bite. The lever works and the pad clamps the disk with enough force to stop it when I spin the wheel on the stand but when I'm on it too, the force isn't great enough and the wheel keeps rotating... Pretty sure I've installed it correctly..
Any ideas? - loss of pressure inside the mechanism?
Hippy, your brake were sticky because you left it like that for too long.
