I can't fit my spd-sl cleats cos the bolts won't reach the nuts in the shoes. Is this a common problem?

Can't seem to find a solution...

Take out all the bolt and check each one for the length.

Some of them are 1x short and 2x long, or 2x short and 1x long.

Yes, turns out that's the case - i need 2 short and one long for each shoe.
