  • I need to fit a front brake on a track bike, bars are a bit similar in shape to cinelli criterium, bike is from the seventies. Build isn't fully period, and doesn't have to be, but I'd like to avoid something out of place like a gold finger / dirty Harry / bmx type of lever. Also want to avoid road levers as I don't like the idea of a dummy lever on one side. Best I can think of so far is dia compe guidonnet. Something discreet and basic (plain aluminum like the old weinman stuff, but with an appropriate lever shape...
    Any suggestions?

  • Thanks, I like both options and have the weinman version of velo orange ones, but they are too long for the drop bars (end of lever too close to the bend / drop / return of the bar), hence feeling that the guidonnet were the best option.
