  • That's just normal pricing no?
Got them a while back on Mantel for €40/£34.

  • Yeah. I am just saying it is not that far of £28

  • No, I was doing a 400k Perm over to Wales.

  • They retail near £60 each so anything around £30 is good to find.

  • Yes pro one tubeless are great - mine are starting to puncture (but seal) after a year of Sunday club rides - have been fast comfortable and grippy - would buy again.

  • Anyone got any experiences of the Specialized Sawtooth? I'm looking for big, year round, tubeless commuters.

And any concensus on a tubeless kit to go with DT Swiss X392 rims? DT Swiss's offering would seem to be the obvious choice, but I'm left wondering whether the other options, at twice the price, sell because they offer something the DT kit doesn't (in terms of performance).

  • go mavic UST?

  • Considering getting some kojaks.
Is the lighter folding version worth the increased price?

  • 40mm Maxxis Re-fuse tubeless on my commuter to deal with goatheads this Summer. Rolls pretty well, fine on gravel paths. Looking forward to some dirt road goodness later in the year.

Measures 39mm wide and 33mm above the lip on a 19mm internal rim FWIW.

  • Thinking about putting Hutchinson 25mm Fusion-5 AT tires on the road bike for same reason..

  • @Hulsroy I took the reflective strip off my vittoria voyager hypers, it was easy enough (didn't need any tools, just picked at it then peeled carefully). Disappointingly though, the tyre isn't black underneath the strip, it's a dark grey. I'm also slightly concerned that this strip is a little weaker than the rest of the tyre, but I'm sure it's not really an issue.
    Can get pics if required.

  • Thanks. Some photos are always nice. But I think I am going down a different route

  • Found a pair of 2.4 x kings protection used once on eBay for the price of one new. Looking forward to turning Liz's troll from tourer to mtb mode

  • What bike are you running these on? I've got a Croix de Fer that I'd like to go wide on but think this might be beyond the limits of that frame.

  • On a Kona Rove Al with PDW large fenders. Check the frame & fork clearance at the rim height.. I imagine on a narrower rim they'd come up a fraction narrower and taller than the 39/33 measurement.

  • Where do I get Challenge Strada Bianca 36c B/T?

  • Fucking challenge Paris Roubaix...

    Impossibru

  • Been looking at Soma Shikoro, but want tubeless and as close to 38mm as possible. Anything out there closer/better than Jon Bon Pass, and if not, is there a preferred source for Jon Bons?

  • I've keep coming across those. Didn't know if they were comparable with the fast 'super supple' balloon tyres that seem all the rage these days. They look a bit lumpy. They're to go on a Nature Boy, so may look more at home than a rando looking tyre.

  • The rubber compound feels soft actually, sidewalls too and Rolls great.

Haven't got to setup tubeless yet, but if referring to their pro one tyres, should be easy setup.

  • Convinced and ordered. Thanks fellas.
